Drive Throughs

[edit] Overview
Drive Throughs are buildings found throughout Paradise City that help the player in a variety of ways. Their buildings are all much smaller than the other inaccessible buildings of the city. They all have an area in front of their entrances that has enough room for any player driven vehicle to pass through. Once the player passes through that area, a certain effect will be applied to the player's vehicle based on what type of drive through it was.
[edit] Gas Station
Gas stations are the most common of the drive throughs found in Paradise City. They refill the player's boost when he/she passes through it. They are very useful during Race events when the player needs to boost but are low or out of fuel; they are also useful in Burning Route events when the player needs to cut a few seconds off the time but are in need of boost to do so. Otherwise, the Gas Stations can just be used in any other event or Freeburn to regain the much needed boost for whatever reason.
[edit] Auto Repair
Auto Repairs are the second most common of the drive through found in Paradise City. Auto-repairs are necessary to fix up one's car after it has been recently unlocked so that it can be brought back to the Junkyard or through Paint Shops to apply custom paint jobs. Otherwise, they simply return the vehicle to an undamaged state. They are most useful during the heavy Marked Man and Road Rage events when the player's vehicle is at Critical Damage, but after one uses it (during events) it will become closed. It is important to note that passing through an Auto Repair in any other event besides the previously mentioned two is actually hindering to the player's performance in it. For example, in Stunt Run events, the Auto Repairwill end a stunt chain, boost chain, and actually slow down the car, making it also bad during Races. In Freeburn there is no cost and it will not become closed. It will simply regenerate the car to its old, perfect condition self until the player scratches it again.
[edit] Paint Shop
Paint Shops are as commonly found as Junkyards and therefore are much less common than Gas Stations or Auto Repairs in Paradise City. When a car is driven through a paint shop, it is given a new, random paint job. The car, as mentioned before, must have been brought through an Auto Repair station at least once to receive a paint job. These drive throughs have no direct use during any event and are mainly intended for Freeburn when the player feels that his/her car needs a new paint job but doesn't want to return to the Junkyard.
NOTE: Some vehicles' finishes, like the Carbon, Sponsor, and Police cars that do not have any custom paint to it from the Junkyard menu cannot have their paint jobs changed on the fly by driving through these Paint Shops. The player will have to return to a Junkyard to change their paint job finishes. The Carbon and Sponsor cars do not have any options at all, and some can only be changed once Gold and Platinum paint are unlocked by the player earning his/her Elite License and getting 100% game completion respectively. Also note that the car will Not be repaired after getting a new paint job, its damage status will remain the same as it was before the change.
[edit] Junkyard
Junkyards are the other rarest of the drive throughs in Paradise City. There are only five of them scattered around the map, one for each district. Junkyards allow the player to choose a different car to drive as long as it has been unlocked. Also, once one has repaired a delivered car, the player can apply a custom paint job there rather than having to drive repeatedly through a Paint Shop until the desired paint job has been applied. It is not possible to drive through a Junkyard during an event or when reverse driving.
