Paradise City is a fictional city, located somewhere on the western coast of the US, featured in the Xbox 360 and PS3 game Burnout Paradise, named after the song "Paradise City", by Guns N' Roses. It is a new concept for the Burnout series because the player can 'freeburn' around the city and enter events whenever one feels like it. There are many different places in Paradise City ranging from downtown streets to mountains, and this delivers a brand new gaming experience. In earlier designs for the city, the city was far bigger than it is in the final game. It was possibly cut down for costs or practicalities but nevertheless, Paradise City in the final game is an amazing site. There are many different areas of Paradise City. There are 5 main areas in Paradise City. They are:

Most of the urban type areas are in Harbor Town, Downtown Paradise, and Palm Bay Heights. Silver Lake and White Mountain are the more rural areas.

[edit] Transportation

Paradise city has an area of 26 square miles, and approximately 218 miles of roads. The city's major highway is the I-88. There is a suspension bridge, the South Bay Expressway. There is also a dam. In Downtown Paradise, Webster Avenue is one of the main routes, with the freeway directly below and multiple ramps between levels. In the western side of the city, Nelson Way is a common route which extends around Silver Lake and White Mountain. S. Mountain Drive is also a long route which outreaches to the western compass direction.
